Function / Content

This series consists of the work notebook of DE MacInnes which was used to record travel itineraries, details of station buildings, bore valuations, notes relating to traverses, sketch maps, and notes of aerial inspections. Included are details of traverses around Victoria River Downs, sketch maps of stockyards at Victoria River Downs Station and Wave Hill Station, detailed descriptions of the buildings on Wave Hill Station including costs, aerial inspections of the Mistake Creek region, and statements of receipts and expenditure in 1949. In 1950 MacInnes made notes of observations about the activities, buildings, and geographical features of the following places; Jay Creek, Hermannsburg, Haasts Bluff, Yuendumu, St Mary's Hostel, St Francis Hostel, Bungalow, and Snake Bay.
